CSK HP University of Agriculture (CSKHPAU) and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology (SKUAST) in Kashmir have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster academic and research cooperation.

The MoU was signed yesterday by Prof. HK Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor (VC) of CSKHPAU and Dr. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, VC of SKUAST in Srinagar.

Chaudhary said the memorandum of understanding would facilitate the exchange of students under a postgraduate degree program in work-study and twinning. Students in the program could continue their coursework or research or both at the partner university during their residency period, he said.

Universities would also undertake joint research and their professors would formulate research projects and human resource development plans. Apart from this, joint sponsored and consultancy projects could be undertaken with both long and short term goals.

Chaudhary said the collaboration would benefit the exchange of research technologies, students and faculty. Mr. Ganai said there would be a wide range of joint research programs, conferences, seminars and workshops in areas of common interest.
